How to choose your web hosting package ?
Choosing a web host can be tricky. You'll have to be aware of the following:
- available resources - as a beginner you shouldn't worry about this but if the things get serious you might be tempted to fall in the "unlimited" resources mouse trap.
- server uptime - it is worthless to spend your time developing a website which can't be accessed by human visitors or search engine bots 24/7.
- server location - it can take some while for a Romanian visitor to access a USA server, so the closest the server is to the visitor, the faster it gets.
- upgrade possibility - it comes a time when a shared hosting account won't be enough for your growing website so any upgrade should be possible without a hustle.
First step of a web developer: choose your software
So you have a computer and you know something about HTML, CSS - now is the time to choose the right software to take the first steps in the world of web development.
It's very important to chose the right operating system for a developer, you could use Microsoft Windows like me but whitout some kwnoledge of linux or unix you will definitely get in trouble later with server performance or security. Or you can choose a graphical distribution of Linux like Debian or Ubuntu.

From now on i will try to publish useful advices about web hosting, web design, programming, search engine optimization and other web development related stuff. I will discuss certain particularities that made my life a living hell (joking) and i will show you how to solve some very tricky internet issues.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
